Shattered Ceasefire, Shattered Lives — Gaza’s Suffering Escalates

This comes on top of Gaza’s already dire suffering after over a year of relentless attacks. The devastation is overwhelming—hospitals, public services, and vital infrastructure lie in ruins. Innocent civilians are enduring unimaginable hardship.

In response to this tragedy, Gazze Destek Dernegi (GDD) is launching “Together We Will Keep Gaza Alive”, an international humanitarian campaign dedicated to rebuilding Gaza and providing temporary shelter for displaced families.

This initiative aims to restore hope, support affected families, and lay the foundation for a brighter future amid unimaginable adversity.

HELP THROUGH ACTION

GDD’s “Together We Will Keep Gaza Alive” campaign is a three-part initiative aimed at helping families in Gaza embrace Ramadan with the essentials to survive and the dignity to thrive.

Build a temporary shelter that provides safety and dignity to families

⭐ Equipped with 400 tents to shelter 400 families.

⭐ 50 sanitary units, where each unit has 8 bathrooms, thus providing an independent bathroom for each tent/family.

Ensure sufficient hot meals for everyone in the shelter during Ramadan, allowing them to partake in suhoor and iftar and complete their fast with ease.

⭐ We need at least 4,500 hot meals per day to ensure everyone in the temporary shelter has enough to eat for suhoor and iftar during Ramadan.

⭐ The total number of hot meals needed for Ramadan is at least 135,000.

Provide clean drinking water for daily survival.

During the aggression on Gaza from October 7, 2023 to November 2024, GDD successfully delivered 752 trucks filled with urgent relief materials through the Rafah crossing to the Gaza Strip.
